Dark And Darker: How To Get And Use Potions Of Luck

Finding loot to fill up your coffers is the motto of Dark and Darker. The value of your loot depends on the rarity of the items which you can find in various chests that are placed across the dungeon. Some of these chests are in plain sight while others might be hidden.

Even though you might have scoured hundreds of chests, you aren't lucky to find high rarity drops. Then you can use the potion of luck to buff up your odds at getting even better gear. So, here's everything you should know about this mysterious potion and how to get the most value out of it.

What Is A Potion Of Luck?

The 'Potion of Luck' in Dark and Darker is a consumable item, similar to healing items like 'Potion of Healing', but instead of healing, it temporarily boosts your character's Luck stat.

There are two rarities of Luck potions: Uncommon and Epic. The Uncommon potion grants 20, 50, or 80 bonus Luck, while the Epic potion provides 50, 100, or 150 bonus Luck.

How To Get And Use Potions Of Luck

You can get the 'Potion of Luck' in one of two ways, one of which is a guaranteed method while the other depends on 'Luck'. These are the ways through which you can get these potions:

Looting chests and enemy corpses: The Potion of Luck can be found by looting chests and corpses of players and monsters in the dungeon. Higher-difficulty dungeons and stronger enemies are more likely to drop these potions.

Purchase from merchants: Alternatively, you can choose to purchase these potions from the Fortune Teller. Though, you'll need to spend gold to get these potions.

How To Use A Potion Of Luck

Follow these steps to use the potion of luck in a dungeon:

Open your inventory and place the 'Potion of Luck' in your consumable slot.

Close the inventory and switch to the consumable slot having the potion.

Right-click to drink the potion.

How Does Luck Affect Your Gameplay?

The Luck stat is one of the more late-game stats, which becomes very important in the High-Roller mode. With a higher Luck stat, you'll find fewer poor-quality items and more Rare, Epic, or even higher-rarity loot.

While in normal mode, you might find better loot, the difference is barely noticeable.

You can also boost your Luck through other means: using the Bard's 'Wanderer's Luck' perk, and equipping specific gear like the Dark and Darker Gold Set. Combining all the sources, including the max-Luck potion, can cap your Luck stat at 500, giving you the highest odds of better loot.
